Opposite of Intern?

Standard

My office is very family orientated. It is not unusual to have parents bring in their children for the day and have them help around the office. It is a pleasure having them around, especially when there’s loads of paper to be shredded…… 🙂

Yesterday, one girl aged about 8 visited our office and her role was to help the Intern who manages the front office. She did a very good job, escorting visitors to meeting rooms, delivering packages and ordering lunch for people. At the end of the day, I left before she was due to leave and I went to say bye.

Hey Sweetie, I am leaving now. Bye bye.

Okay, see you tomorrow.

Okay, it was fun having you around.

Oh no, I forgot, I won’t see you tomorrow!

Why?

I will not be coming in tomorrow.

Why will you not be coming in?

I need to do my hair, I cannot be coming to the office with such hair!

Really! Look at my hair, it isn’t all that and I will still be coming to the office tomorrow.

Your hair isn’t bad. All the same I am not coming tomorrow.

So now you get to select which days you come and which ones you don’t?

Excuse me! I can select which days I come and which ones I don’t. I am an Out-tern!!
