I am currently reading ‘The Heart of Abundance: A Simple Guide to Appreciating and Enjoying Life

The following paragraph hit me hard and I am still meditating on it.

The art of abundance is not about greed or selfishness. The art of abundance is about celebrating life right now, this minute. It is a way of looking at the potential your life holds – the little blessings to be thankful for now and the gifts that God wants to give you, if you’ll just open your heart to receive. It’s about being enthusiastic about life every day, not just on the rare occassions when everything seems to be going your way. The art of abundance is finding the provision in what is right in front of you, seeing the hand of God already giving you what you need, moment by moment. Then sharing the abundant blessings God has given with others. And completing the circle of giving by praising the One who gave the gifts for us to enjoy.

For Njenva, ABUNDANCE is…….

…. a warm bed at night

…. a full moon

…. a text message from Cec

…. new music

…. finding something I thought was lost in my handbag

…. baking a cake

…. talking to Hipilicious and Skinny

…. my office desk

…. the first sip of black tea with two sugars

…. the moment between being awake and falling asleep

…. privacy in the bathroom

…. sitting in a boat

…. walking

We are blessed, we just need to open our eyes to see it!

      • I guessed Cecilia but my mind just refused to accept it…I don’t know if it will accept your explanation but…okay. 😀 It’s Cecilia.

Now to the main point- I love this list. I can identify with a few. Eg, a full moon. Too bad my Landlord erected a new block of apartments so I am not able to enjoy this as I used to. Finding something that I thought I had lost, or that I thought I didn’t have- like MONEY! 😀 and walking. Oh, I love walking! 🙂
