Kay’s House

Standard

Our family friend Kay hosted us while in Port Elizabeth. I loved his house! It is an old Victorian architecture kind of house that was built in the 1850’s. The exterior has been modified to keep up with the times but the interior is so blissfully in the 1850’s – hardwood floors and pretty windows. We loved how he has put up his collection of knick-knacks and how recycles various items for better use.

With his permission, I took some photos of things in his house for the blog.

I need a better camera. This lamp was pretty amazing. It was so beautiful, my camera isn't doing it any justice.

A lamp made of recycled material. The part on the right got detached and is supposed to be on top of the bottle.

There is an old piano on the wall and a functional keyboard on the foreground. Very artistic.
