2017 Movies

Standard

This year is LOOKING UP in terms of movies. Too exciting.

(Pappa, if you are reading this, you can log off now)

I haven’t yet watched a bad movie so far this year, and I had been looking forward to the releases coming up in 2017. Waaa!

Before I get into it, I’d just like to let you know about this hilarious movie I watched this week. Who knew that there were satirical movies being made before the Wayans brothers did the Scary Movies and other parodies of different genres? Well, I didn’t. I stumbled across this OLD movie that had me howling. Superb dialogue. Check out The Prince’s Bride

Tweetie, you aren’t allowed to watch this, it is our next porkovie. Porkovie = Friday night + Pork + Movie

Anyway, back to 2017 movies. In no particular order but the most important first!

Wonder Woman – June. The original Diana Prince. My favourite heroine of all time. Gal Gadot had better do justice to this Amazon warrior chic. I can’t wait.

Justice League – November. Because Superman vs Batman bombed, I am hoping that this saves face. And Diana Prince is on it too so, I have high hopes.

Kingsman 2 – October. Taron Egerton got me super weepy in SING, which I really liked. He was fabulous in the first Kingsman movie. I am looking forward to seeing how this team will push the story forward without the funniest villain ever.

Spiderman: Homecoming – July. Tom Holland made a perfect Spiderman in the last Avengers movie. I hope that he is is able to deliver punchlines and webs in a similarly hilarious manner. I generally find Spiderman uninspiring but this is one I am looking forward to.

Logan – March. Our entire family is looking forward to this, Skinny is especially excited since it comes out on her birthday.  This is one of my favourite franchises ever (other than this last x-men movie with spiritual overtones) and there is none that has been a disappointment. Sad that this will be Hugh Jackman’s last portrayal of Wolverine, he has been awesome.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – May. Jack Sparrow will be back! It’s been quite a while since he was on the screen.

Thor: Ragnarok – November. Getting to see the Avengers team will be fun. I hope Loki will give us a memorable scene especially since Thor’s main nemesis in this installment will be the green man. Not my green man. The bigger green man, Incredible Hulk.

God keep us till 2018 when Black Panther will be released. That should be EPIC!
